Dr Henryk Penkalla

Dr. Henryk Penkalla brings over three decades of international dental expertise to the Tasmanian community. Originally from Poland and raised in Germany, Dr. Penkalla earned his dental degree from Johannes Gutenberg University in 1994. He specialised as an oral surgeon in 1999 and later completed a Master of Implantology in 2008.

After a successful decade as a private practice owner in Germany, Dr. Penkalla relocated to Australia. In 2022, he played a pivotal role in establishing the Straumann Group in Tasmania before successfully completing the Australian Dental Council (ADC) examinations in 2026. Today, he serves patients through the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) in Launceston and as part of Hobart Periodontics clinical team focusing on oral surgery.

Outside of the clinic, as a firm believer in peak performance, he is also a certified Personal Trainer and ASCA Strength and Conditioning Coach, bringing a unique energy and disciplined approach to his mentorship and patient care.
